Will the Shemitah be a time to celebrate or mourn? Be ready!

Author and Bible teacher Jonathan Cahn says he has been so swamped with questions and concerns about the looming end of the Shemitah year on Sept. 13 that he can’t answer them all.

“We have been deluged with people calling, emailing, asking questions from all over the country, wanting to know what’s happening. So we decided to put out a video,” Cahn told WND via email.

In the message, posted to YouTube, Cahn calls for a period of national prayer and repentance leading up to the pivotal month of September.

He also issued a new warning about a “desecration” that often precedes judgment and is already present in American society. He calls for Christians to prepare for persecution and get ready to stand for God in a coming period of strife that will increasingly be devoid of “gray areas” or middle ground.

In the video, he says his main theme continues to be that of judgment visiting America. This will bring a “shaking” in the financial and economic realms. These tremors may spread beyond the economic realm.

[Editor’s note: Repent, turn to the Lord God who made us all and seek Him while He may be found.  Follow His ways.  Read the Word and do what He says when He says to do it.  Above all pray!  It is my humble suggestion that we should tell our leaders to leave Israel alone.  She belongs to God and not any man.  He will take care of her.  If we meddle and attempt to encourage her to divide the land, He will rip us apart.  These are weighty matters and much of the church world is either asleep or being mislead that somehow God needs our help.  We need to seek Him and walk with Him!  We need leaders who know Him and hear His voice above the noise!/sc]

Just as Noah did in ancient times, world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham is sounding the alarm that the Second Coming is “near” and signs of the end of the age are “converging now for the first time since Jesus made those predictions.”

Earlier this month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the United Nations General Assembly “biblical prophecies are being realized.”

And last week, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., claimed the world has entered the last days.

“When you see up is down and right is wrong, when this is happening, we were told this: that these days would be as the days of Noah,” Bachmann said.

The remarks by Graham, Netanyahu and Bachmann come amid a steadily rising wave of public interest in the end times, as demonstrated by recent polls and New York Times and Amazon.com bestselling books such as “The Harbinger: The Ancient Mystery That Holds the Secret of America’s Future,” by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, and “Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change,” by Pastor John Hagee.

In September, a poll by the Ventura, Calif.-based Barna Group found 4 in 10 Americans – and 77 percent of evangelical Christians – believe the “world is now living in the biblical end times.”

Now, a new wave of end-times predictions for 2014 and 2015 involving blood moons on Jewish holy days and prophetically significant events on the Shemitah – the ancient biblical year of the Sabbath – are igniting even more interest in humanity’s ultimate fate.

Throw in next year’s reboot of the “Left Behind” film featuring Nicolas Cage and the cinematic destruction of biblical proportions in “Noah,” starring Russell Crowe, and last-days fever is back with a mainstream vengeance.

“I think we’re on the verge of a global awakening in interest in apocalyptic events,” said Paul McGuire, an internationally recognized prophecy expert who is a regular commentator on Fox News and CNN and appeared on two highly rated History Channel specials, including “7 Signs of the Apocalypse.”

“I see a fuse being lit here, between what Billy Graham, Michele Bachman and Benjamin Netanyahu said, and I think there is going to be an explosion of interest in the end times like nothing we’ve ever seen before,” McGuire said.

In an exclusive email interview with WND, Graham, 94, who is giving what may be his last message to the world as part of the My Hope America with Billy Graham evangelistic outreach in early November, said the world is “coming toward the end of the age.”

Rabbi Cahn’s closing words were very powerful indeed, dare I say prophetic?!  May I humbly suggest we proclaim this out loud together and come into harmony on the matter and with the word of God!

And, to all who will come He will receive and He calls out “Come, for all you who hear this message and you dwell in darkness, it’s time to come and you will not be turned away.”  And for all you who know Him, you, His people. It’s time to put away any shade of darkness and compromise and take up the mantle of your calling. It’s time to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world you were called to be in truth, in power, in love. It’s time to light up the darkness. It’s time to be strong. It’s time to be bold. It’s time to be radical.

The watchman is crying out. The trumpets are sounding. The voice of the Lord is calling to this nation, saying “Return! Return!” Let the world go forth, let the power of God be seen in this land! Let revival burst forth like a mighty river! Many have posted, regarding school shootings, “I asked God where He was when all this happened and He told me ‘I’m not welcome in schools’.” Often, that sounds like a crass, uncaring, and thoughtless reply.
