His Breath is the Wind to my Sails

His breath is wind to my sails via Patty Finney Compton on fb

A friend of mine on facebook, Patti Finney Compton, shares the most glorious pictures there. She opens her heart and always has a word of encouragement for those who respond to her. This one caught my eye recently and I asked and received her permission to share.  Her pictures seem to penetrate the soul and lift the spirit.  I think that is because she prays over them and God leads her to them and guides her hand as she shares them!  Thank you Patti for being a faithful handmaiden!

Many years ago as I was agonizing about the call of the Lord upon my life, I heard very clearly the words, “I will be your rear guard.”  It brought immediate peace to the matter and has been an unfolding revelation to me as well as to those who walk with me.  When you hear something from the Lord like that you then begin to see it unfold in scripture and I learned that He is not only my rearguard, but He goes before me to prepare the way.

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.Isaiah 58:8

For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.  Isaiah 52:12

He is my all in all.  My rock, my sword, my shield.  My wheel in the middle of the wheel.

“He’s My Rock, My Sword, My Shield”

Randy Travis Lyrics

He’s my rock, my sword, my shield
He’s my wheel in the middle of the field
He’s the lily of the valley
He’s the bright and morning star
Makes no difference what you say
I’m goin’ on my knees and pray
I’m gonna wait right here for Jesus
Till he comes.

The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.  Ezekiel 1:16

In Him we live and move and have our being.

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:28

He is the wind in my sails and I am bathed in the water of His word.  My boat goes where He leads as He fills my sails.

Many times as I pray over the city I live in, I actually physically blow my breath and release His Spirit out of my being.   When we engage in prayer actively with body, soul, and spirit — the mind does not always even know what it is about.  I am happy to be with Him in the process.  Sailing on the waters with His Spirit to fill my sails and guide my boat.  I trust Him and you can too!

Happy Pi Day 2015 – Celebrating 3.1415926

Pi day is celebrated each year on March 14th

This year I asked the question online who discovered pi and found there was no easy answer.  It has been an unfolding revelation through the ages as people have taken it to more and more places usually when they had nothing better to do and later letting computers do it for them.  If you want to read more about all that here is a wikipedia link to get started, but Archimedes is mentioned early on and Sir Isaac Newton also.  However, no one person seems to get the credit for the ‘discovery’.

The first recorded algorithm for rigorously calculating the value of π was a geometrical approach using polygons, devised around 250 BC by the Greek mathematician Archimedes.[30]

Isaac Newton used infinite series to compute π to 15 digits, later writing “I am ashamed to tell you to how many figures I carried these computations”.[52]

On Facebook, my friend Joseph Hebert pointed out that this is a very special year for pi day as you look at the opening digits you will see that we have a special instant.  Wonder if that is AM or PM?

“…But this time there will be a pi instant.

3.14.15 9:26:53.5897…

There will be an instant between 09:26:53 and 09:26:54 that will be the perfect pi moment.”

Have a pi moment today.  Have a piece of pie to celebrate.

Happy New Year 2015

Where the Spirit of the Lord is – there is Liberty!

May you be where He is and go where He leads.

May you know His Will, His Way, His Word and His Touch as you go.

Special thanks to my good friend Shelli Dawdy for the best Happy New Year graphic of all times!

Washington County Grassroots Meeting – Thursday Dec 11th 6:30PM at the Bartlesville Library

Washington County Grassroots Graphic Corrected 2014Dear Friends in Washington County Grassroots,

Recently several people on our prayer team met to discuss a broader meeting this month in preparation for events that will occur in January 2015. We decided to set up a meeting to seek wisdom on matters:

Bartlesville Public Library (meeting room on 2nd floor)
Dec 11th 6:30 PM

Please come if you can and feel free to share with anyone interested in attending. We will share what we know about what lies up ahead and seek the wisdom of the body as we move ahead.

Sandra will share briefly about upcoming Republican party meetings in early 2015 with dates and process and ways to get involved if you are interested in doing so.

Precinct Meetings in January (precinct chair and other officers will be elected this cycle)
County Meeting usually in March (county chair and other officers will be elected this cycle)
State Convention usually in April (state chair and other officers will be elected this cycle)

If you have resolutions to share with everyone, please bring multiple copies to share and circulate!

Shelle will share some projects on her heart and set up teams to tackle ongoing projects. Do you have 1 -3 hours a month you can spare for liberty? If so consider these team projects:

Patriots who will attend Local School Board meetings
Patriots who will attend City Council Meetings
Patriots who will attend County Commissioner Meetings
Patriots willing to reach out to local legislators and establish regular meetings with them
Patriots willing to share this information
Patriots who know the constitution is about protecting freedoms
Patriots willing to form Block Prayer teams
Patriots willing to be speakers/topics of interest

______________________________

Randy will share briefly about Oathkeepers and what that might look like on a local level:

[Recently] I woke up with a desire to offer precinct leaders and activists a forum to do more than serve the 2-party system .

A broader concept would be based on security and community – neighborhood watch, preparedness, resource sharing, Civil Preservation Teams like Oathkeepers has planned. (And ultimately, the intended function of a militia would be met—hopefully restored.

Here’s a link to an Oathkeepers page that provides a Documentary film on Martial Law —

We need to resist top-down control by Feds and renew local control through the People — an informed and educated grassroots network.

Other items to add to agenda? Please let us know in advance of meeting.

We will keep the meeting itself to a 2 hour format to optimize everyone’s time.

Happy Pi Day Everyone! Oh Sure It’s Not a National Holiday… Yet!

Happy Pi Day Everyone (3.14)    Get it?

Pi day is celebrated in math classrooms each year on March 14th

Pi Pics and Links from 2008

Here is how some math classes celebrate and don’t miss the pi song — it will hang in your brain for sure!  Students participated in special PI Day activities, celebrated the day by singing PI Day songs, and (of course) the traditional  eating of the pies.

My First Pi day post from 2011 here >>>

At 3.14 (3 minutes 14 seconds) David Letterman learns what pi means! Daniel Tammet is an amazing math genius who memorised pi to 20,000 places. Is he the world’s greatest math prodigy? He is an amazing mathematics savant or maths prodigy.

Think I’ll go have another piece of pie now just to help celebrate the day.
