Lots of information about the Oklahoma state convention controversy. You may be familiar with the “Parking Lot Patriots” of the 2012 Oklahoma GOP State Convention. This report is from a part of that group, and they are pressing their complaint based on violations of various rules and laws. A Life Dream Begins to Come to Pass

On Saturday, April 14th, at our District 01 Republican Convention in Tulsa, Amanda Teegarden graciously placed my  name in nomination for Republican National Delegate.  I am pleased to report that I received an alternate delegate slot and I will go to Tampa Florida in August.  I will be asking the state convention in May to upgrade my status to delegate and we will see if that can yet occur.  I would appreciate your continued prayers on the matter.

Thank you Amanda Teegarden for nominating me!

Because of the time allotted to all the candidates to speak and because of my wanting the speech to NOT be read,  here is what was ‘planned’ but I cannot tell you what was actually said.  If I get a video link, I will attach it later to this post for you:

I am Sandra Crosnoe. I am from Washington County. I appreciate the opportunity to speak to you today.

I appreciate you being here today to make decisions for our district and for our party. I know you sacrifice time from your family with every moment you spend on political matters. I appreciate that sacrifice.

I know because I have served with many of you on committees and on various projects. I have served as a Republican precinct chair for over 30 years, first in Texas and more recently since I came to Oklahoma in 2005.

You may be aware of my work online with blogs and communication networks, with social networking, with organizing rallies and teaparties, with speaking and mentoring and training in person and via Skype.

Through it all, I have encouraged people to get involved with their local Republican party, serve in volunteer roles, and talk to their representatives in order to really make a difference.

You did and you have and you are. You are here today. Some of you are serving in office and others are now running for office. We have more work to do together!

What draws us together as Republicans are our core principles and our shared values:

We are for limited constitutional government and for free markets and yes, a lot less government.

We support the second amendment — the right to keep and bear arms.

And yes we are prolife — because every life is precious and a gift from God!

I know that together we must hold our leaders and ourselves accountable to these principles. I know that we are a party that believes in the rule of law AND promotes grassroots activism. I believe that every voice is important. I will work to make sure that things are done according to the rules. I will insist on openness and fairness to make sure that everyone has a chance to participate. If you send me, I will go. I will continue my work to get our message of Life and Liberty out across the Land. This election is about more than the just the presidency. It is about promoting people of principle who will make a difference. Together we will Restore the Republic so that future generations may live free and prosper in this great Nation.

I pray God’s blessings on this District, this great state of Oklahoma and this Nation.

I would appreciate your vote for Republican National Delegate!

Precinct Meeting and Elections 1-26-2011
“Organize the whole state, so that every Whig can be brought to the polls. Divide the country into small districts and appoint in each a committee. Make a perfect list of voters and ascertain with certainty for whom they will vote. Keep a constant watch on the doubtful voters and have them talked to by those in whom they have the most confidence…and on election day see that exactly every Whig is brought to the polls.”

Oklahoma Republicans-

We can’t organize our state without first organizing our precincts. You have a chance to help in this effort on February 1st, when most counties in Oklahoma will hold precinct meetings for precinct elections.

We must build our Party block by block- and organizing our precincts is the way to do it.

One of the fundamental responsibilities of our Republican county leadership teams is organizing the precincts within their boundaries. We can raise all the money we want, but without the volunteers to make the phone calls and walk the neighborhoods it’s much harder to build a winning formula.

Every county is different- some counties have one location for their precinct elections, others meet in House Districts, and still others meet in individual homes throughout the county. Bottom line: you need to reach out to your county chairman today to figure out where and when your precinct election is. If you are having problems reaching your county chairman we need you to call the State HQ immediately.

We can’t micromanage your precincts, but when it comes to precinct elections and county conventions, we want to help if help is needed. So please, call your county chairman today (a list can be found here) and make plans to attend your precinct election.

We aren’t after Whigs, but Honest Abe had the right strategy 171 years ago. I’m asking for a few hours of your time to help keep this state moving in the right direction. As precinct chairman for Precinct 188, I will be there. Will you?

Matt Pinnell
Chairman of the OKGOP and Precinct 188

Make plans to attend your precinct meetings today in whatever state you live in.  Know when they occur and be there!

Be salt and light in your county.

If you want some resolutions to take to your meeting here are some samples posted recently on OKGrassroots.  Start the discussion in your precinct and mobilize forces at your capitol during the legislative session with OK-Safe .

Note:  While most meetings will be on February 1st, the Washington County Meeting will be on January 31st.
