Washington County Prayer Team Tuesday May 3rd with Julie Daniels

We are going to have our Washington County Grassroots Prayer Team monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of the month for the next few meetings, so plan ahead!

The next meeting is on Tuesday, May 3rd at 7PM at my house (call to RSVP and/or if you need directions 918.440.6876).

 

Speaker:  Julie Daniels

Julie Daniels is a candidate for Oklahoma Senate Seat District 29. Senator John Ford currently occupies this seat but is termed out. Julie is also a former Mayor of Bartlesville.  Many of you know her well, but we will all learn more about Julie Daniels and her thoughts on issues facing our state, county and city. We will have plenty of time for Q&A and then time for prayer at the end.  

Please come join in the discussion. You will enjoy getting to know Julie and hear from her and ask questions too!  

We will hopefully get an update on her campaign as well.

I am suggesting we Pray Matthew 6:10 over our city replacing the word “earth” with Bartlesville —  “Your kingdom come, your will be done, in Bartlesville as it is in heaven”.

Washington County Prayer Team Tuesday April 5th with Kevin Buchanan, District Attorney

Speaker:  Our District Attorney – Kevin Buchanan

We will learn more about Kevin and his office and hear from him on matters confronting our county.  We will have plenty of time for Q&A and prayer time as well.  We will continue our discussion on civil asset forfeiture and the impact on the county office.  Hoping to have his wife Mary Beth join us as well.  You will enjoy getting to know Kevin and hear from him and then cover he and his family & office in prayer.

Scripture to consider: Deuteronomy 5: 26-29

26 For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

27 Go thou near, and hear all that the Lord our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.

28 And the Lord heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the Lord said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.

29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Hastings Standards Not Family Friendly Anymore – Bartians Beware!

Our local Hastings has dropped the ball. It is no longer a safe place to take your kids to look at books. Apparently they’ve decided to display nude posters in with all the others and witchcraft is on the end caps to give it prominence.

If you are a concerned citizen who cares about what is accessible to our youth please call and respectfully let them know this is NOT ok. Store number is 918.335.0831.

Republican Primary Election is June 24th – Do You Know Who is on the Ballot?

And now the question is – Do You Know these People?

Washington County is partly in House District 10 and partly in District 11.  This particular ballot is for District 11.  If you are in District 10 you need to be aware of the open seat being vacated by Steve Martin for which Randy Barnett is running.  He will be one of the featured speakers at Sooner Park this weekend.  (h/t Joy Molina Collins for the sample ballot photo and so much more!)
