The Conservative Champion in Oklahoma for US Senate is Randy Brogdon

Primary Elections Tweet

a recent tweet from a post on facebook below:

Primary Elections are about electing the best person for the office. In the general you can pick the lesser of two bad choices if you don’t get someone who walks the talk through the primary options… Happy campaigning out there! Don’t forget to have fun and make friends while you are on the campaign trail. ‪#‎R3s‬ ‪#‎4life‬ ‪#‎4liberty‬

So everyone is a conservative now.  And oddly enough everyone is for liberty now.  Hmmmm.  Who are the real champions?  They are the ones who were there before it was cool.  Leading the way.  Standing on principle.

Terminate the OHIET Letters and Calls Needed for Monday Meeting!

phone ringing
Please see OK-SAFE post here for more details and background to this post.  Here are the phone numbers included there and below that you will find a couple of emails for examples as needed.  Please note that in general calls are better than emails because if there are enough of them they generate an office ‘buzz’ at the capitol, but you do whatever makes sense for you and your time schedules.
Health and Human Services Committee Members:

  • Senator Brian Crain – Chair                   405-521-5620
  • Senator Rob Standridge – Vice Chair    405-521-5535
  • Senator Harry Coates              405-521-5547
  • Senator Kim David                   405-521-5590
  • Senator A J Griffin                    405-521-5628
  • Senator Constance Johnson    405-521-5531
  • Senator Dan Newberry             405-521-5600
  • Senator Jabar Shumate            405-521-5598
The first letter is mine and went via email to the entire committee.  The second letter is from Amanda Teegarden, the executive director of OK-SAFE also to the committee.  Bottom line, we need to terminate the OHIET or Oklahoma Health Insurance Exchange Trust ASAP!
.
Special thanks to Senator Nathan Dahm for leading the way on this matter!
.
.
Dear Members of the Health and Human Services Committee,
.

A quick note to let you all know that I very much agree that the OHIET should be terminated as rapidly as possible. I do hope all of you will stand up for the people of Oklahoma in protecting us from any further federal intrusion into matters best left to our state and our county and our family.

.

I would note that If we don’t collect and hand them the data, they will not have it.  I believe Ms. Teegarden’s letter below sums it up well, but I wanted you who serve on the committee to know of my position also.

.

I commend Senator Dahm for leading the way on this matter and I want my Senator to know of my stance on the matter as well.  I believe the people of this state have made their position abundantly clear.  It is important that our leaders do things to make sure we follow in practice what has been clearly spelled out in our founding documents and at the ballot box as well.

.

Thank you for your help in returning government to limited, constitutional matters and respecting personal responsibility and privacy along the way.

.

My health, my doctor, my business!

.

Begin forwarded message:
Dear Senator,

.

SB 219 by Dahm/Moore is scheduled to be heard in Health and Human Services on Monday, 2/11/13.This bill would cause the OHIET (Oklahoma Health Information Exchange Trust) to cease to be in effect as of Jan. 1, 2014.

.

I am asking that you please vote YES on SB 219. […T]his entity is using the SHIECAP federal grant money to implement the technological infrastructure necessary for what the public calls “ObamaCare” to work in this state.  This means the ability to transmit patient’s electronic health records intrastate and interstate.

.

This infrastructure is set up to eventually connect with the payers system (insurance exchange), completing the connections between patient, provider and payer.  (This is the crux of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and it’s predecessor the Stimulus bill.)

.

The people of Oklahoma clearly objected to “ObamaCare” with the passage of SQ 756 in 2010; these people believed they were sending a clear message – NO to this type of health care “reform.”

SB 219’s amendatory language:

  1. G. The provisions of this section shall cease to be in effect on January 1, 2014. As of such date, the State Department of Health shall fulfill the purpose set forth in subparagraph a of paragraph 2
  2. of subsection B of this section with respect to grants awarded prior to the effective date of this act, but no further grants shall be accepted for such purpose, nor shall any further action be taken with respect to the purpose set forth in subparagraph b of paragraph 2 of subsection B of this section.

….

Thank you,
Amanda Teegarden
