Have you ever studied the bible and found things you just couldn’t reconcile with your mind and your Spirit?  I believe if we are honest, we all have.  My good friend and biblical mentor for many, many years — has put together a book for us to help us on some very complex concepts and perhaps take us all a little deeper in understanding too.  It is dense with scripture references if you are studying to teach others on topics this little book includes. Jesse C. Jones the author just added Chapter 8 and the entire book is available for free via Scribd.  You can read it there or download it and read it on your own computer or even print out whole chapters if you like.  We hope it will enrich your study of the bible and drive you to Him in prayer for understanding in your own spirit.  May you be richly blessed in your personal study and journey.  May you know Him and the fullness of His call and anointing  on your life.

Publishing Books with Jesse C. Jones – The Path to Holiness

Many years ago, I met Jesse C. Jones and his lovely young family in Pasadena Texas.  I grew up there and went to school there…..

Years later we reconnected and I discovered that he was writing books.  His first was self published and is available in print via Amazon and other booksellers.

My review of this his first book is online there and below here:

When I was growing up in Pasadena Texas, my parents met the Lord in a life changing way and were friends with the author of this book. They established a bible study for the children of the adults getting to know the Lord and studying the Word together. We met in the ‘upper room’ at Jesse’s house and we studied so we could grow in the knowledge of Jesus and His Word. I have a lot of love and a depth of gratitude to this author for helping guide me to the Lord at an early age.

I am so glad he has written this book. It is like none other that you have read — probably because Jesse is an engineer rather than a story teller. It is not a long book, but it is dense with scripture; some printed out for you and more references to take you as deep as you want to go with each chapter. I have suggested to Jesse that it would be perfect to provide online for small groups to use as guidance for bible studies. It is both foundational and for the believer who wants to go deeper. Isn’t the Word like that though?

I marvel that eternity may not be long enough to get to know our Creator! It is like an expanding understanding whether you go outward or inward. Time and dimensions seem to expand and contract as needed as we move in Him. I marvel at both the complexity and the simplicity of the Gospel.

One other thing that is very special about this book is the way Jesse had it published and what he does with the proceeds. He self published and any profits go to help a food bank in his community. So read the book and bless your life and a local community as well. What a roll model for us all! Thank you Jesse for oh so many things. May the Lord bless this effort in ways beyond your comprehension~

This author has more books available online via my Scribd account there (scrosnoe). They are free and downloadable and sharable too! One of she latest ones is discussed here […] and it talks about one of the bible teachers sent to this author in the early days of his spiritual development. My family was on that journey with him so it is a very precious story to me.

 

Since then and in the past couple of years, Jesse has written a series of books available online and free to download.  We have been honored to have Rex Morache, a gifted graphic artist, provide many of the covers — each one special and timely.

I hope to be doing a series of articles on these books but for now if you want to explore on your own, here is the link to all of them available on scribd >>>.

You can read them online and/or download and print.  I believe they would make good study guides for home bible study groups because they are so dense with scripture references.  You decide what works best for you and share freely as we have here.

League of Women Voters of the Bartlesville Area Candidate Forum on June 17th

Washington County Grassroots Encouraged to Attend & Ask Questions

   LWV to host candidate forum – June 17th

 

To help citizens prepare for the June 24 primary election, the League of Women Voters of the Bartlesville Area will hold a forum featuring area primary election candidates on June 17.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Meeting Room in the Bartlesville City Center Building, 401 S. Johnstone Ave.

Candidates for the Oklahoma House of Representatives District 10 and the Washington County Commission will be speaking and answering written questions from the audience.

Seeking the seat being vacated by Rep. Steve Martin from the Oklahoma House of Representatives, District 10, are Travis Dunlap and Randy Barnett, both Republicans.

The other primary race of local interest is between Pat Evans and Mitchell Antle, both Republican candidates, who will compete for the Washington County Commissioner, District 1, position being vacated by Gary Deckard.

Area residents are invited to attend and will be given an opportunity to write down questions directed to one or all of the candidates. To schedule as many questions and answers as possible, League volunteers will read the questions to avoid duplications and a timekeeper will maintain time limits for the replies.

County commissioner candidates are scheduled first on the program, followed by the candidates for the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

LWV officials remind voters that Oklahoma has closed primary elections in which party candidates are chosen only by voters registered in that party. Although all the candidates speaking at this forum are Republicans, the non-partisan League encourages Democrats and Independents to attend and participate with questions.

The LWV statewide Vote411.org website is now open with statewide information including information from Oklahoma House District 10 Candidates. Randy Brogdon Leads the Pack of Conservatives for US Senate Race in Oklahoma

As a matter of fact you might say he is the only conservative in the race for US Senate in Oklahoma.

Several weeks ago, grassroots leaders got together in Oklahoma to tell you why we are not supporting TW Shannon for US Senate. This occurred in response to some ‘national teaparty’ leaders who made a swing through the state telling us he was our man. Our letter letting them know about the error of their ways is entitled why Oklahoma Grassroots Leaders and Activists Do Not Support TW Shannon and it is here >>>

Then there are those telling us why James Lankford deserves a promotion including via his own TV ads touting his ‘conservatism’; that is until you look at his voting record which is in and of itself rather dismal. I shared with you his bad votes recently on FGST here >>>

So now it seems only fitting to let you know that there is a real conservative leader on the ballot in the primary. The media is trying to ignore him and even excluding him from some events (so what else is new right?!), but the people know that he has been there for us on so many fronts in so many battles over recent years. He’s the kind of man who is there at crunch time for you and not all focused on taking credit for all the hard work of so many people in the matter when the job is done! However you know that he was there early on and when it mattered – like for instance with the repeal of Common Core recently. Now that is a leader and one that we will not have to lobby all the time to get to do the right thing!

Randy Brogdon 93%  others both in the 70 % range – barely passing!

But then of course I must also point out the differences in support for higher spending.  Lankford voted 3 times to raise the debt ceiling.  That does it for me – how about you?  Real ID anyone?  Support for Mitch McConnell?

Looks to me like the choice is clear – Randy Brogdon for US Senate.  I believe he can take it without a run-off  if only people look at the record and the money trail.  Will you help me tell the story and get out the word in your precinct?  Primary elections are about voting for the best candidate.  Run-offs will be held if necessary.  This one is a no brainer as far as I am concerned!

My Favorite Candidates for Republican Primary 2014 – Washington County Flyer

This is a flyer I am giving to friends. It is not endorsed by any candidate so if you like it and can make some version of it work in your area, please feel free to do so.  Some candidates do not like to have their campaigns linked and I understand that, but I am only going to hand out so many flyers and to so many people, so mine are going to have my favorites of course!  Make your own version, walk the talk, make friends, and have fun along the way…
