The 2016 Election: A Victory for Middle American Values?

The 2016 Election: A Victory for Middle American Values?
by Jenni White
county-by-county-vote-nationallyThe election is over. Trump has won. Celebrities are running for the hills, rioting and protests have broken out in major population centers across the country, and I heard from a friend watching, that a talking head at Good Morning America (the Thursday after the election) felt the need to explain the vote as a reality not a nightmare.

Trump, trumped Clinton – there’s no way around that. With the media projecting Hilary as the winner most of last year and throughout the night – even after he took Florida – it was clear by Wednesday morning that the media, liberal America and the celebrity class were shocked beyond reason at the result of this election. I’m not surprised – their total inability to understand the thought processes and lives of middle America represent a majority of reasons for the outcome of this election.

Entertainment and news celebrities live in crystal bubbles surrounded by drooling fans, where they rock swag bags, red carpets and all the free crap designers and beauty companies can throw at them to garner their endorsements. If their movies stink or their news shows can’t make it on cable for even a season, it matters not, they’ll shuffle off to another show created to entertain the masses, dutifully do their stand up-sit down-line recitation or read off their prompter and go home to their glorious three bed three, three bath, three and a half million dollar vintage ranch-style house in the Hollywood hills – or their overpriced Manhattan flat – to spend 15 minutes with their Armani-clad tykes before they trundle off across hand-scraped floors rescued from a 300 year old farm house live-in nanny in tow, housekeeper not far behind warning of their impending dinner cooked by the celebrity chef who will be along shortly.

This isn’t middle America by even the broadest stretch of the imagination.

We here in middle America get up in the morning and work all day – sometimes two jobs to make ends meet – only to watch our health care costs eat up our paychecks, yet we can’t even go to the doctor if we need one because we can’t afford the deductibles for the policies we have because we’re expected to pay the healthcare costs for others who can’t or won’t shoulder the burden themselves.

InfoWars: Video Interview with Bev Harris of Black Box Voting and Election Fraud — Some Things You Can Do!

black-box-votingBev Harris founded blackboxvoting.org in 2003, when she snooped around some trash cans outside of a voting station and found irregularities that proved the voting machines had been tampered with.  She made the “Hacking Democracy” documentary exposing how vulnerable the voting system is and how easy it is to manipulate. Lately she has discovered a new twist to the fraud where the voting machines can be manipulated remotely by one person and how Hillary Clinton is primed to use this vulnerability to sway votes in her favor.  This is the latest from her interview with Alex Jones:

Remnant Review

“There are those who still think they are holding the pass against a revolution that may be coming up the road. But they are gazing in the wrong direction. The revolution is behind them. It went by in the Night of Depression, singing songs to freedom.” — Garet Garrett, The Revolution Was (1938)

There have been a number of revolutions in American history. It began with the American Revolution, which was armed resistance against lawful government. Then came the revolution that was disguised as an act of Republicanism: the Constitutional Convention of 1787. That was a coup d’état. The next major revolution was the Civil War. The south rebelled against lawful authority, and lawful authority wiped out antebellum culture. Then came the Spanish-American war, which launched the American Empire. It was ratified by the ascendancy of Teddy Roosevelt to the White House. Next, there was the presidency of Woodrow Wilson, which took us into World War I. Next, there was the New Deal. Next, there was World War II. Finally, there was Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society.

I think is legitimate to regard all of these famous events as revolutions. Only the American Revolution was a true revolution. The others were revolutions in the way that Garrett described them: revolutions within the form.

There are those who have never ceased to say very earnestly, “Something is going to happen to the American form of government if we don’t watch out.” These were the innocent disarmers. Their trust was in words. They had forgotten their Aristotle. More than 2,000 years ago he wrote of what can happen within the form, when “one thing takes the place of another, so that the ancient laws will remain, while the power will be in the hands of those who have brought about revolution in the state.”

Revolutions do not occur overnight. They build up over a long period of time, and they take place very rapidly. This phenomenon applies to many areas of life. The old story that Hemingway wrote about the man who described his bankruptcy went as follows: it went slowly, and then very fast.

With this in mind, I’m going to comment on an article written by an old friend of mine, Angelo Codevilla. I worked with him when I was in Washington in the mid-1970s. He wrote an article for Remnant Reviewin 1979: “The Danger Is Defeat, Not Destruction,” which was sent out as written by Professor X. I pulled the copyright. It was reprinted around the country. I estimate that at least 500,000 of them were sent out.

I regarded him at the time as the smartest theorist in the conservative movement. I have not changed my opinion over the last 40 years.

He has written a remarkable article, “After the Republic.”

The Jews In The Attic Test by Joe Huffman (2009)

anne frank writing 1942

The Jews In The Attic Test

To the best of my knowledge I [Joe Huffman] am the originator of this test and the name I use to describe it.  It first came about in 1999 while I was working with Cease Fear (Cease Fear predates The Pink Pistols by about a year although the Pink Pistols is far more successful).  We were putting hand-outs in the shops in the Capital Hill area of Seattle for NRA Refuse to Be A Victim and Home Firearm Safety classes.  The Capital Hill area is well known LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, and Trans-sexual) community in the Seattle area.  Our goal was to teach people of the LGBT community how to defend themselves against people who would attack them (gay-bashings).

Several of the others and I in Cease Fear were certified NRA firearms instructors and were willing to donate our time to help make their lives safer.  One of the discussions we had amongst ourselves as we walked from shop to shop was how to explain to others how important our right to keep and bear arms was to our freedom.  People tend to understand the importance of freedom of speech and the freedom of the press pretty well and some of the other rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.  But the Second Amendment was and is viewed as unimportant and perhaps even counterproductive by many in today’s society.

I explained to the others in my little band of activists that I looked at all laws that restricted freedom with a view to the impact it would have in a worst case scenario of our government run amok.  Will this law make it difficult or impossible to protect innocent life from a government intent on their imprisonment or death?  Although I pretty much made everything up on the spot I told them I called this test my “Jews In The Attic Test”.

Furthermore I told them that if it fails this test no further discussion is really needed, the law must be opposed in the most vigorous manner possible.

Some laws that fail the test and why:

bullet Government mandated ID cards and the authority to demand them at any time.  The oppressed class will be unable to masquerade as a member of the neutral or oppressor classes.
bullet Searches without probable cause.  Imagine you are attempting to smuggle your “Jews in the attic” to a safer hiding place.  If the police at the roadblock can search all vehicles then you and your precious cargo are headed to the “work camps”.
bullet Government monopoly on medical care.  This is a bit surprising — isn’t it?  If it is illegal for you to pay someone for anonymous health care then how can your “Jews in the attic” receive health care?
bullet Firearm or firearm owner registration.   The registration information can be used to confiscate the firearms used to protect innocent life — as it was under the 1938 Weapons Control Act in Nazi Germany.
bullet Elimination or severe restriction of anonymous financial transactions.  The purchase of food and other supplies for your “Jews in the attic” would show up in the records as being excessive compared to what your needs were.  Just as power consumption records are used today to catch home marijuana growers.

I continue to use this test to this day and advocate its widespread use by others.
