Happy Birthday Kaye Beach – Thanks for your efforts on our behalf!

Sandra Crosnoe - Finding Gems & Sharing Them

Please send Kaye a very special birthday present and pass the Oklahoma Sovereignty bill out of the rules committee with a unanimous bipartisan vote on behalf of the people of this great state to protect our rights under the 10th Amendment today! She is spending the day at the Capitol working for you and I because she cares. Please surround her with your prayers, your love and a few thousand calls and emails to the folks on the rules committee listed below:

Subject: Oklahoma HJR 1003 Claiming Sovereignty under the 10th Amendment to be heard Wednesday, February 11, 2009!

Calls and emails needed ASAP

The next meeting of the Rules Committee of the Oklahoma House of Representatives will be  Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 3:00 pm in Room 412-C at the Capitol.

Among the several bills to be heard is OK Representative Charles Key’s HJR 1003, which claims state’s rights under the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

The 10th Amendment states:
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Oklahoma HJR 1003 declares, in part:
“THAT this serve as Notice and Demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers. THAT all compulsory federal legislation which directs states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties or sanctions or requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding be prohibited or repealed.”Oklahoma is looked to as a leader in state’s rights and it is important that this bill pass both the House and the Senate in 2009.

Please call and email Rules Committee Chairman Representative Gus Blackwell and the other committee members to let them know you support HJR 1003 and to respectfully ask them to move this bill to the floor to be heard and considered by the whole House.House Rules Committee Contact information:

Unanimous vote out of commitee! Here’s to liberty and sovereignty for Oklahoma. We give thanks to God for granting us this favor and pray His protection and guidance throughout the days ahead.

Here is @AxXiom’s story about the day at the Capitol:

  2. AxXiom Says:

    God Bless your sweet heart!
Those prayers were heard and answered because it was a phenomenal day!
Most of us had to watch from an “overflow” room behind a floor-to-ceiling sized window. So there we were, faces to glass, like a bunch of random zoo animals….
Many of us attended OCPAC weekly meeting that is held right near the Capitol at an Italian resuraunt and that little room reeked of garlic so bad! I was wishing they had crammed us all in with the legislators so that they would have been so eager to get rid of us that they would have passed anything in front of them- LOL!
My mistake was skipping lunch. My Italian friend says that the way you get rid of the smell is by eating it together…..

That was some wonderful scene today, garlic notwithstanding. Everyone was thrilled and with all the bad news lately, it was an all too rare moment of unmitigated joy among so many good, hard working people. I will treasure the memory and use it to lift my spirits during the times when it all seems like nothing but struggle.

Thank you so much for everything, Sandie.
