A Life Dream Begins to Come to Pass

On Saturday, April 14th, at our District 01 Republican Convention in Tulsa, Amanda Teegarden graciously placed my  name in nomination for Republican National Delegate.  I am pleased to report that I received an alternate delegate slot and I will go to Tampa Florida in August.  I will be asking the state convention in May to upgrade my status to delegate and we will see if that can yet occur.  I would appreciate your continued prayers on the matter.

Thank you Amanda Teegarden for nominating me!

Because of the time allotted to all the candidates to speak and because of my wanting the speech to NOT be read,  here is what was ‘planned’ but I cannot tell you what was actually said.  If I get a video link, I will attach it later to this post for you:

I am Sandra Crosnoe. I am from Washington County. I appreciate the opportunity to speak to you today.

I appreciate you being here today to make decisions for our district and for our party. I know you sacrifice time from your family with every moment you spend on political matters. I appreciate that sacrifice.

I know because I have served with many of you on committees and on various projects. I have served as a Republican precinct chair for over 30 years, first in Texas and more recently since I came to Oklahoma in 2005.

You may be aware of my work online with blogs and communication networks, with social networking, with organizing rallies and teaparties, with speaking and mentoring and training in person and via Skype.

Through it all, I have encouraged people to get involved with their local Republican party, serve in volunteer roles, and talk to their representatives in order to really make a difference.

You did and you have and you are. You are here today. Some of you are serving in office and others are now running for office. We have more work to do together!

What draws us together as Republicans are our core principles and our shared values:

We are for limited constitutional government and for free markets and yes, a lot less government.

We support the second amendment — the right to keep and bear arms.

And yes we are prolife — because every life is precious and a gift from God!

I know that together we must hold our leaders and ourselves accountable to these principles. I know that we are a party that believes in the rule of law AND promotes grassroots activism. I believe that every voice is important. I will work to make sure that things are done according to the rules. I will insist on openness and fairness to make sure that everyone has a chance to participate. If you send me, I will go. I will continue my work to get our message of Life and Liberty out across the Land. This election is about more than the just the presidency. It is about promoting people of principle who will make a difference. Together we will Restore the Republic so that future generations may live free and prosper in this great Nation.

I pray God’s blessings on this District, this great state of Oklahoma and this Nation.

I would appreciate your vote for Republican National Delegate!

Yes Sandra Crosnoe wants to serve as a Republican National Delegate — Congressional District 01 votes on Saturday April 14th in Tulsa

R3publicans

Here’s an open letter to share with friends going to the Republican Party District 01 Convention in Tulsa this weekend.  I am asking for your vote and your prayers and your support in this effort.  Thank you for all you do for life and for liberty in our land!

Dear Republican Friends/Leadership,

Most of you know me from things we have worked on together or via websites/blogs/emails/ and our mutual efforts to get our country back on course. I would love to represent you and serve in the capacity of a delegate to the National GOP Convention this year. I believe my experience serves the party well in this role. Most know that I have worked tirelessly to move the ship of state in the ‘right’ direction. I place core principles and operating philosophy above party, because I believe that is what will best grow our party and solve the tremendous problems we face. While Christian values will always trump party politics, I think that is what makes our party the hope of the nation — because we do honor ethics and values in our party.  Sure we need to do better and we will as we challenge one another in the process and as we shine the light on matters.

We as a party must now come to a consensus and work together in the days ahead not only to defeat Obama, but to elect principled conservative, Republicans up and down the ladder.  You know me and that  I will continue to work to get out the truth and build our party around core principles.  On that you can rest assured.  In addition to that, I will continue to work to keep people involved in productive ways. There is much we all agree on and much left for us to debate as we work toward difficult economic solutions ahead and get our businesses set free from over-reaching regulations so that they can truly prosper and innovate and create jobs.  We need less government — a lot less government!

Through the years I have served on most committees and in most volunteer roles available in campaigns and relative to issues advocacy in the Republican Party both in Texas and now in Oklahoma.  In recent years, I have focused on communications networks and mentoring future leaders.  I appreciate the many people and the countless hours that go into making our party great.  You are a part of that process.  Thank you!  Together, we must hold our own people and our own party accountable to our platform and core principles even as we challenge our opponents on substantive matters.

It is important what we say and how we say it. The message and the actions must line up!  I helped with some of the original teaparty efforts and rallies and became widely known for social networking;  training and mentoring others all along the way.  I will work with you to continue to grow our party and I believe that in doing so we will all help to Restore the Republic in the process.  This will cause others to join us and actively engage as they see that we mean business and we mean what we say.

I ask for your support to be a delegate to the Republican National Convention to be held in Tampa later this year. I will do my best to represent you well and will work with with others to reach consensus on what is truly best for our party and our nation.  We will achieve our common goals together.  We must.  The very future of the nation depends upon us doing so.

Vote Sandra Crosnoe for National Delegate for Life and LIberty in our Land

Timing is Everything by Devvy on Rense

[This one article sums up my thoughts as I watched events unfold last night. Noone can say it like Devvy! Follow the links and ponder what you are watching the media tell you vs what you have heard before vs what you know from experience because you saw it with your own eyes. I never read a news report of an event I attended that I thought reported on the event I attended. Spin doctors are always at work. And of course the elephant really does look different from different angles. Limiting government power will help us to restore the republic if that is yet possible?! Sandra Crosnoe for R3publicans thanks Devvy for her reports on events as they unfold.]

Like perhaps a few million others, last night at 9:00 pm CST, Jerry Rivers aka Geraldo Rivera, on FAUX News Network announced the putative president would speak at 10:30 pm EST on a Sunday night. Immediately networks went on “high alert” because no one could remember a president calling a 15-minute press conference on a Sunday night, so it must be important. Speculation swirled about that it had to do with the US killing Mummar Gaddafi’s son and three of his grand children. Aren’t we a great super power?

But, by 11:00 pm EST, it turned to Osama Bin Laden. He’s dead! But, still no Barry Soetoro at the mike. I finally went to bed 30 minutes later. According to news reports, the usurper took to the mic just before midnight EST. How come there was a delay of almost an hour and a half? The press conference is called for 10:30 pm EST. One would think Barry would have had his notes together and ready to go for such a historic statement to the American people. I wonder what last minute details were being finessed?

And, why so late on a Sunday night. Why not this morning? I think it’s safe to say that a whole lot of people go to bed earlier on a Sunday night for work the next morning. Perhaps the late night show was so Americans who missed it the night before would get full saturation this morning before they went to work. You know, hip, hip, hurray!

Southern Avenger says Let ‘Freedom Watch’ Ring

dated August 19, 2010 – 5.33 mins and 6,591 views at time of posting

Judge Andrew Napolitano’s FOX Business program “Freedom Watch” is nothing short of revolutionary.  Southern Avenger says to let ‘Freedom Watch’ ring:

Denouncing libertarianism as not true conservatism is like saying The Rolling Stones somehow dethroned Elvis Presley. There’s no questioning that both acts sound very different-there’s also no questioning that both are rock n’ roll personified. The philosophies of libertarianism and conservatism are no doubt particular and distinct, as the loudest voices for each will eternally argue; but both brands have also been virtually inseparable in the history of American conservatism. Perhaps Ronald Reagan said it best in 1975: “I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism… The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.”

CLC member Joan Fabiano of Lansing, MI, will join us to talk about her event at the State Capitol.

This round of Tea Parties didn’t receive the same media focus or buzz that was seen in April. Also, the events occurred on a holiday weekend. Further, there wasn’t a central entity online as also was the case in April. Did any of these phenomenon suppress turn out?

Also, we will get up to date on the status of H.R. 2454, the “Cap & Trade” bill.  When will the Senate vote on this soon? What’s in those 1400+ pages?

Skyping the Senate this week — here’s how and why!

Sandra Crosnoe - Finding Gems & Sharing Them

What You Can Do About Matters

Prepare to melt the phones again in DC this week. Above all else, be polite. Passion is encouraged, foul language is not. Be aggressive, but not abusive.
Resources:

Senate Phone/Fax numbers (with links to e-mail)

Sample phone script:

“Hello, my name is __________, and I am a member of a conservative social media group called Top Conservatives on Twitter. I’m calling today to find out how Senator _____ intends to vote on S. 1, the stimulus package. (write down and report back the response. If the answer is “Vote Yes”) I’d like to encourage him/her to vote against this piece of legislation because it is too large and will be ineffective in boosting the economy. I especially don’t like (the talking point of the day). Please let Senator ______ know that I would like for him to vote “NO” when this piece of legislation is offered.”

Sample fax/e-mail text (please copy and paste these to your e-mail):

To the Honorable Senator _________,

My name is ____________, and I am a member of a conservative social media group called Top Conservatives on Twitter.  I am writing today to ask you to vote against S. 1, the pork ladened stimulus bailout. This is a bill that is full of wasteful spending and will not effectively boost the economy. In its current form, the stimulus bill will be more expensive than the Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined. It is a bill that is being marketed as an immediate response to a national emergency, but many economist have agreed that it will do nothing but prolong the recession. It reflects the “Christmas wish-list” of the Democrats most powerful interest groups more than the needs of the country. I urge you to keep the country’s best interest in mind, and not the desires of liberal interest groups, in mind as you vote against this bill.

Skype Tips:

Here is one other little treasure for you from my good friend @amishsteve. We are working on a special project for you on TCOTprojects to open up state networks for you (coming soon – stay tuned!) and thought this might help everyone on this project as well. Steve did this in one take and it is full of great information too. I say a star is born and thanks so much for making the video for us. I am pleased to introduce @Amishsteve for a few remarks on how to use Skype effectively:

Bottomline: Moveover Moveon, we’ve had enough porkulous for the liberal social agenda already. Now let’s make some calls this week and see if we can get out of debt not deeper in the proverbial excrement piling up around us.

For more information on the contents of this porkulus package and why these calls are important.
