From the About page on Oklahoma GOP website:

History: Since 1906, the Oklahoma Republican Party has been working to make Oklahoma a better place for families and businesses to prosper. The OKGOP represents the values of most Oklahomans. We are the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal empowerment, and individual responsibility.

The Republican Party has grown to become a powerful force in Oklahoma today. During the 2008 election cycle, the McCain-Palin ticket won 65.4% of the vote in OK, the highest percentage in the nation, thereby giving Oklahoma the title of “Reddest State in the Country.” In 2010, the OKGOP had the most successful election cycle for Oklahoma Republicans in state history- sweeping all eight statewide races, including Governor, and expanding majorities in both the state house and senate.

As Ronald Reagan put it, “A political party is a mechanical structure created to further a cause. The cause, not the mechanism, brings and holds the members together. I believe the Republican Party can hold and should provide the political mechanism through which the goals of the majority of Americans can be achieved.”

Statement of Principles:

We believe in limited government, individual liberty, and personal moral responsibility.

We believe Oklahoma should be a place of opportunity where people who work hard and abide by the rules can pursue their own dreams with a reasonable expectation of success.

As Republicans we believe:

  1. Our rights of life, liberty, and property are natural rights granted to us by God and protected by the Constitution.
  2. In the right to worship as we please without government intrusion or interference.
  3. The federal government’s power is constitutionally limited, yet responsible for protecting our sovereignty, establishing justice under law, and securing our liberty through a strong national defense and effective law enforcement.
  4. God is the Author and Creator of life and that all human life, both born and unborn, should be protected.
  5. In traditional marriage consisting of one man and one woman.
  6. It is the private sector and free market principles that best stimulate economic development rather than government subsidies or programs.
  7. Taxes collected at all levels of government should be used only for legitimate government functions, and those functions carried out efficiently so that tax rates may be kept as low as possible.
  8. That government closest to the people governs best and is preferred to centralized control.
  9. It is the right of every parent to act in his or her children’s best interest including choosing the form of education, whether public school, private school, or home school.
  10. We should welcome immigrants who want to legally seek freedom and opportunity, who want to work for a living and who will embrace our values, learn the English language, and respect our national sovereignty.

Health Care Reform –

IT, Security, Privacy Issues/Concerns

In the beginning of the presentation, Amanda made the critical point,

“He did not give man dominion over man….”

The powerpoint presentation is available on scribd for reference and for sharing in it’s entirety. There is a link below and then ideally the presentation should be embedded here. OK-SAFE, Inc. PPT – Joint Committee on Health Care Reform Law 11-03-11

The research will show you what has been done in legislation to bring us to this point. It also documents the many policy concerns with this level of information sharing and why we should not be permitting it to be done nor being asked to pay for it and ‘forced’ to implement it in our states. Study the presentation and talk to your friends about it. We must be able to tell people why we do not want to share our data and why it should not be being collected and retained. We must understand that if collected it will be shared with/without your ‘permission’ because ‘they’ can. Once shared, there is no way to put the genie back in the bottle. What will happen to your identity if you no longer ‘own’ it?

In closing, Amanda gives the joint committee seven recommendations which we hope will be heeded by ALL of our elected officials and representatives who are charged with the public trust in any way, shape, form, or fashion.

1.Repent – not kidding here
2.Do not establish a state-based Health Insurance exchange – it will be the same as the Federal government’s version
3.Allow people to escape HIT/HIE system without penalty; do not penalize providers who opt not to adopt EHRs or participate in this system
4.Repeal state laws that prohibit individuals from seeking alternative health care services, i.e. homeopathic medicines or non-traditional treatments
5.Terminate the Oklahoma Health Information Exchange Trust
6.Audit the Oklahoma Health Care Authority – expenses outweigh benefits
7.Adhere to the OK Constitution – work to restore liberty

Grassroots Republicans Welcome Victories!

…But Urge Continued Action Following Elections

Tuesday began with many people wondering whether it would be a “good night” and exactly how the elections would turn out. The results were generally as expected, with Republicans winning back the U.S. House of Representatives and sweeping the state offices in Oklahoma.

The 2009 Tea Party movement occurred well before the primary season, vocalizing the general sentiment to “throw the bums out”. The initial battle cry was to start over with a new crop of elected officials. However, this election resulted in an expulsion of many Democrat incumbents while a majority of Republican incumbents retained their seats or moved onto higher office. In Oklahoma, for example, Tea Party groups decried stimulus packages and bailout votes, yet TARP supporter Rep. Mary Fallin won the Oklahoma Governor’s race by a wide margin on Tuesday.

Republicans have been presented with a double-edged sword of opportunity with Tuesday’s victories. Republican officials have been presented with a historic mandate to reverse policies and return to basic Constitutional principles. The Republican grassroots have shown their ability to get out the vote, make their voices heard, and effect a sea-change in government.

Although Tuesday may seem at first glance to have been a major victory, the potential exists for voters to sit back trusting the new Republican majority to take up the fight in defense of the Constitution.

“The nation is at a tipping point,” R3publicans’ board member Porter Davis explained. The fact that so many incumbent Republicans were returned to office presents the real possibility that they will not make good on their campaign promises, that their votes will be similar to their records when they were in power during President Bush’s term.

“R3publicans urges all Oklahomans interested in a limited, Constitutional government to maintain vigilance over their elected officials and prepare to hold their feet to the fire once they take office in January,” noted R3publican co-founder Sandra Crosnoe.

About R3publicans:  R3publicans is a grassroots network of activists working together to restore the Republic.  The group is based in Oklahoma and networked around the country.  The group’s focus is limited government, Constitutional principles and free market ideas. R3publican’s most recent project in Oklahoma was working with the organization, OK-SAFE,  to distribute their election summary guide “Positions On Oklahoma State Questions”.

Opening Ceremonies and Welcome

Tom DeWeese and Amanda Teegarden

1:15 pm – 2:00 pm — Session 1

Freedom21 Keynote Address

The Creature from Jekyll Island

G. Edward Griffin

The Federal Reserve represents the most blatant scam in history. It’s at the root of wars, inflation, boom-bust economic cycles, depressions and prosperity. The Fed is at the center of today’s economic meltdown. G. Edward Griffin is the foremost expert to help us understand what is happening and how to fight back.

2:00 pm – 2:45 pm — Session 2

Fiat Money
and the Sustainable Action Plan

Michael Shaw

Michael Shaw will demonstrate how the world fiat money system implements its program for total control and world government through its designed “Global to Local” Action Plan. When the nature of our money is understood and the fraud of global warming is recognized, it becomes easier to accept the reality that globalism, working under the code of Sustainable Development, is in your community. Recognition leads to solutions. “It is time to get focused and grow the circle,” says Michael!

2:45 pm – 3:30 pm — Session 3

Global Governance

Dr. Michael Coffman

Since before it was created, advocates of the United Nations have had a long-range goal of morphing the United Nations into a world government. The reality of this dream took a giant step forward in 1992 with the acceptance of the world community of Agenda 21 and the general acceptance of the United Nation’s sponsored publication of Our Global Neighborhood. Our Global Neighborhood outlines the broad plan to institute global governance, which in reality is world government. It is a radical plan to reorganize the world using treaties and agreements to allow the United Nations to tightly control national economies, standards of living, law, property rights, social norms. In other words, literally everything. The legal structure for global governance is in treaties like the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Kyoto Protocol (or its replacement), the Covenant on Development and Environment, the Rights of Women (and Children), the Law of the Sea, and many, many more. It is happening right before our eyes.

3:30 pm – 4:15 pm — Session 4

Censored History in the Classrooms

Allen Quist

The last few years have seen an abundance of archeological and historical research. This research has uncovered a wealth of exciting new information – much of which disproves the theory of man-made global warming. The new historical information includes ancient maps which demonstrate that the world – 1,000 years ago and also 2,000 years ago – was much warmer than it is today. The information uncovered also includes early written records, and archeological findings. There is no serious question about the accuracy of this information, but the media won’t print it because it contradicts global warming. The schools won’t teach it and the textbooks won’t include it for the same reason. This power-point presentation will include photographs of the ancient maps, word for word quotations from the discovered documents and detail of the archeological discoveries. If the people of America can be informed about this information, radical climate change legislation will be dead in its tracks.

4:15 pm – 5:15 pm — Session 5

President Obama and the
U.N. Agenda to Control
American Education

Michael Chapman

On March 31, 2009, President Obama’s new Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, congratulated the delegates to the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development for their “important work” and “shared interest” in Education with the new administration.

This presentation will show you evidence that America’s National Education Standards, National Curriculum, and National Assessments are in complete alignment with the Principles of “Sustainable Development,” and against the Principles of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. “While we were sleeping, the enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat.” Our children are being trained to become tomorrow’s enemies of freedom.

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm — Reception

“Welcome to Oklahoma”
Reception

Entertainment by Jim Worthing

Back by popular demand, Jim Worthing will once again perform for us. He entertained at C-PAC 2008 and 2009 in Washington, DC. For ten years, he was the lead singer with the Cumberland Boys, featured at Opry Land, the Grand Ole Opry, and every other important country music venue.

Renew friendships, meet new friends, bid on auction items donated by people from around the country, and have a great time at this fun-filled event.
